Weekly photo challenge: Solitary

This week’s photo challenge is particularly challenging for me as I take pictures with a point and shoot camera on auto mode. My pursuit in photography is to capture Things and People when they pose for a capture.

With this topic.. Thinking about solitary..

Solitary – a state of seclusion

This challenge calls for a closer look at solitude..

Solitary may look a lot similar to feeling blue sometimes, but it is instinctively different. Solitary is the time for re-focus, get back in touch with inner selves, remember dreams, relax, enjoy, hope…

..and, capturing the beauty of this quiet moment would be a form of art expression, not an intrusion.

Solitary sessions are good and are much needed for everyone.

“Being solitary is being alone well: being alone luxuriously immersed in doings of your own choice, aware of the fullness of your won presence rather than of the absence of others.  Because solitude is an achievement.”    Alice Koller.

  1. You are right – solitary does not always mean lonely or blue althought that is the first thing that comes to mind. It is a choice, maybe one needs to be alone to catch some fresh air, literally or figuratively.

  2. I’m really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
